About Us

At Tol & Linda's Boat Painting you can rest assured that you've come to the right place. All of our full repaints are shot blasted back to clean steel before we begin our 9 coat system of 3 primers 3 undercoats & 3 topcoats.  We are the boat painters for you.

Our Process

As soon as your boat arrives we will make arrangements for it to be pulled out of the water and put into our Polly Tunnel. Then we will begin taking fixings (windows, vents, etc) off. This excludes the diesel cap, water cap and, if applicable, the pump out filler caps unless they have rust under them. After boarding up all windows and masking up any holes your boat will be shot blasted. We will then:  * remove all boards from windows and grind back to bare steel any areas the shot blaster was unable to reach  * prime your boat from the gunwales up  * apply 3 coats of blacking to the hull (excluding the base plate). Once the above has been completed your boat will be moved from the Polly Tunnel to the main workshop where we will:  * prep undercoat and topcoat your boat * apply anti-slip to the gunwales and decks * paint coach lines * complete any extra work requested (signwriting, artwork, woodwork, etc) Work takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks.
